We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Sales Executive to join our Upwork team. As a Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying and engaging potential clients, understanding their business needs, and showcasing Upwork’s value to their projects. Working closely with our internal teams, you’ll collaborate with account managers, project coordinators, and leadership to ensure a seamless and impactful experience for our clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for building and nurturing client relationships. 

What You Will Do

  • Utilize Upwork to identify and connect with potential clients seeking your services.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Create and execute effective online sales strategies to secure contracts and projects.
  • Prepare and submit proposals in response to client requests.
  • Manage project listings and profiles to enhance visibility on Upwork.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities.
  • Generate and nurture leads to convert them into successful projects.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously expand your skill set.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and client satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in sales or business development, demonstrating a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth understanding of the Upwork platform, its features, and the freelance marketplace. Past experience utilizing Upwork for business solutions or projects is highly desirable.
  • A history of building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships. Showcase your ability to understand client needs, provide effective solutions, and foster ongoing collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans. Provide examples of how you have identified market opportunities, crafted compelling value propositions, and executed successful sales strategies in previous roles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Past experience in delivering persuasive sales presentations, drafting compelling proposals, and negotiating contracts is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data and analytics to drive decision-making. Showcase instances where you used data insights to identify potential clients, optimize sales processes, and enhance overall performance.
  • Demonstrate a history of quickly adapting to evolving market conditions and learning about new industries or products. Illustrate instances where you embraced new sales methodologies, technologies, or industry trends to stay ahead in the market.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors in Marketing
  • Proven experience as an Upwork freelancer in online sales or a related field.
  • Proficiency in navigating and using the Upwork platform.
